One crew, one contract, one accountable name.
Long Island Homeworks is operated by Selective Remodeling — Michael Patti, Founder & Co-Owner — a Long Island home improvement contractor working on the Island since 2007.
The model is a single vertically-integrated team rather than a chain of subcontracted trades: one crew, one contract, one name responsible from demolition through final walkthrough. Work booked through this site is carried out under Nassau HIC #198901, Suffolk HIC #HI-69024 and NYC HIC #2110690-DCA, with $1,000,000 general liability and workers' compensation in force.
618 projects completed across Nassau and Suffolk County.

One crew, one contract
We don't subcontract the work that matters. Framing, rough mechanicals, finish carpentry — all our people. You meet your superintendent on day one and he's still there on closeout.
PE-backed plans
Every structural detail is stamped by a licensed professional engineer. Our in-house AIA architect draws the set, the PE reviews and stamps, the set that goes to the town is the set we build — no revisions mid-build.
We pull the permits
Our permit coordinator manages every township filing. Hempstead, Huntington, Smithtown, Babylon, the Village of Garden City — we've been through all of them. You don't touch a permit form.
The roles behind every project
Owner
Walks every active job, signs the contract, and stays accountable through final walkthrough.
In-house Architect
Draws the dormer and addition work in-house, so design and construction answer to the same team.
Dormer & Addition Superintendent
Runs dormer and addition sites day to day, from framing through close-out.
New Build Superintendent
Runs ground-up new construction, coordinating trades and inspections on site.
Client Liaison & Permitting
Runs the permit desk — files, tracks and closes every township filing, and keeps you updated mid-build.
Controller
Runs the books, handling every draw, invoice and lender draw request.
